Biblische Numismatik was published in Hannover in 1855. 76 pages with plus one plate of Jewish coins and a table of alphabets. Pages are spotted and cover is unattached. Still very readable. Rare; Coins of the Jews is 329 pages, 279 marvelous woodcuts, and a fold-out plate of alphabets (small rip). Published in London in 1881. Much of the text is still useful, as are the apendices of Weights, Money in the New Testament, and Talmudic Writings on the Coinage of the First and Second Revolts. Very good, rebound. De Saulcy, F. & Madden, Frederic. Numismatique de la Terre Sainte & Jewish Numismatics. De Saulcy's work is a standard that deserves to be in every ancient Jewish collector's library. 406 pages of text plus 25 pages of plates. Pages are in good condition, with frayed edges; cover is unattached; should be rebound. The cover is also unattached to the Madden work, though pages and pull-out alphabets are in good shape. This is the rarely seen edition printed in London, 1874-6. Estimate Value $300 - 400

Magnificent binding in partial leather with marbled boards, excellent condition. 189 pages and 20 plates of woodcuts of ancient Jewish coins. Perez Beyer, Francisco and De Saulcy, F. De Nvmis Hebraeo-Samaritanis, Volume 1 and Recherches sur la Numismatique Judaique. Two early works with wood engraving of ancient Jewish coins that any collector will enjoy. De Nvmis Hebraeo-Samaritanis contains 245 pages, two engravings and ten full-page plates, as well as many illustrations incorporated in the text. Pages are in decent condition; Binding is chewed up on the edges. De Saulcy's work of 1854 is 406 pages of text plus 25 pages of plates, overall all in fine condition. Lot of 2 books. Perez Beyer, Francisco. De Nvmis Hebraeo-Samaritanis, Volume 1 and 2. Two-volume book by Francisco Pérez Bayer, eighteenth-century Spanish philologist, jurist and writer, on Samaritan Hebrew coins. Volume I dated 1781, contains 245 pages, two engravings and ten full-page plates, as well as many illustrations incorporated in the text. Volume II dated 1790, contains 210 pages, three engravings and two full-page plates, as well as many illustrations incorporated in the text. Red gilt-tooled leather bindings with gilt edges. Biblisk Slegt-Register is folio, 44 x 30 cm. 210 pages, including woodcuts of a number of Greek, Roman, Jewish and Byzantine coins; also lovely plates of temples; family trees, etc., with charming gothicfont. An interesting early reference for students of biblical numismatics and history. Contemporary brown calf, extremities a bit rubbed but binding sound. Fine condition. Consignor acquired from a Kolbe sale in 1998 for $375. The Josephus work features five pages of woodcuts of ancient Jewish coins by Sigeberti Havercampi. Printed in 1741. Over 600 pages. Binding is starting to fall apart, but pages are in very good shape. Consignor purchased from David Hendin for $350. Lot of 2 books. Estimate Value $650 - 750
